Yes, for the Monday evening Reception at the Hyatt House Hotel Chicago/Evanston, and for the Wednesday evening dinner banquet, at the Halim Time and Glass Museum. The A-la-carte pricing gives you the option to purchase certain events so a guest/spouse may join you, without participating in the lectures or museum tours. However, there is no separate option for just meals on Tuesday or Thursday’s activities.
No formal dress code. Casual and comfortable attire is suggested. Guests are encouraged to show off their style, but be comfortable while doing so. Please keep in mind that the museum tours will include standing, walking and riding on a bus. Keep in mind that Tuesday’s Chicago Dinner Cruise will be on Lake Michigan.
The Host hotel does not offer airport transportation.
Chicago O’Hare Airport to Hyatt House Chicago/Evanston – Approx 16 miles / 40 minute drive / Uber ($45 – $75 Estimated) / Public Transit estimated 1 hr 45 min.
Chicago Midway Airport to Hyatt House Chicago/Evanston – Approx 25 miles / 1 hour drive / Uber ($60 - $80 Estimated) / Public Transit estimated 2 hr.
Chicago Transit Authority https://www.transitchicago.com/ Google Maps shows public transportation options. Davis Purple Line Station is 0.3 miles (7 min walk) and Green UP-N L-Line Davis Street Evanston Stop is also 0.3 miles (7 min walk) to the Host hotel.
The distance is less than a ½ mile between both the Halim Time and Glass Museum and the Hyatt House Hotel. Driving time is 2-3 minutes, walking time is about 10 minutes. Free parking is available at the Museum. There will be attendees without a vehicle. We will encourage attendees with vehicles and space to assist anyone who might like a ride. We’re obviously hoping for nice weather. Uber is also available in the area.
No. Bus rides are included in the pricing for Tuesday and Thursday’s activities.
The schedule on Tuesday and Thursday involves traveling in a motorcoach. Each day requires a minimum of 3 or 4 loading and unloading on a charter bus. Any questions or concerns about accessibility, please reach out to Cathy Gorton at [email protected].

Yes. We will do our best to accommodate dietary restrictions. We ask that you help us to help you and let us know your dietary needs when you register.
There are many restaurants near the host hotel that offer a wide selection of culinary treats. Here are a few. We encourage you to call for reservations and check times.
H-Bar at the Hyatt House Hotel Chicago/Evanston – (Mon – Sun 5 -10 pm)
Trattoria Demi – Open till 8:30 most evenings
Le Tour Brasserie – Open till 8 or 9 most evenings
Na Korn Urban Thai – Open till 9 most evenings.
Your hotel payment is fully refundable up to 48 hours prior to your stay. Within 48 hours or a no-show, will forfeit one night room and tax to be charged to the guaranteed credit card. Contact the hotel directly with your cancellation notice.

If you would like to arrive early or extend your stay at the host hotel, please contact the hotel directly to receive the same rate for up to 2 days before or after our event. Rate is valid from October 11 – 18th, 2025. Reservations must be made by September 15th, 2025.
